Hematology and Oncology Section Director, MedStar Washington Hospital Center Dept. of Medicine
Are you a visionary leader in hematology-oncology ready to shape the future of cancer care in the nation's capital?
The Department of Medicine at MedStar Washington Hospital Center - one of the largest and most respected hospitals in the Mid-Atlantic - is seeking a dynamic Section Director of Hematology Oncology to lead, grow, and innovate within our cancer program. This is a rare opportunity to build on a strong clinical foundation while advancing a bold vision for equitable, high-impact cancer care across Washington, DC.
As a leader in comprehensive cancer care, the Institute is affiliated with the only NCI-designated cancer center in Washington, D.C. The Section Director will work clinically at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, a 912-bed academic medical center, and will benefit from strong support including advanced practice providers, research staff, and administrative resources. The position also includes an academic appointment at Georgetown University and an opportunity to play a pivotal role in transforming cancer care throughout the region.

What You'll Do
Lead and Inspire a multidisciplinary team of hematologists, oncologists, advanced practice providers, and support staff
Expand Clinical Programs to meet the growing and evolving needs of our community
Drive Innovation in care delivery, clinical trials, and translational research
Strengthen Academic Partnerships and educational programs across MedStar Health
Champion Health Equity by advancing access, outreach, and culturally competent care
