The primary purpose for this position is to perform screening and diagnostic mammograms as well as DEXA studies. Experience in stereotactic and ultrasound guided biopsy is preferred however our team is willing to train the right person.

Qualifications

Purpose & Scope:

Performs radiographic procedures at a technical level, not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of views that will require ingenuity and initiative in applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities required by the ACR and the FDA to maintain certification in the area of Mammography.

Education:

Associate’s degree in radiography is required or,

Graduate of an accredited certificate program for radiography is required

Experience:

Two years of experience in mammography is preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.

Mammography certification is preferred.
