Job description

Wash Truck Operator and Lube Technician

The Olen Corporation and Area Aggregates, one of the largest construction aggregates producers in the Midwest, has been a leader in the industry for over 50 years. With multiple locations serving Central, Northeast, and Northwest Ohio, Olen is dedicated to providing top-quality aggregate products, including natural sand, gravel, and limestone, to a diverse range of customers. As an ODOT 1069 prequalified aggregates supplier, Olen sets the standard for quality and service in the industry. Producing over 8 million tons of construction materials each year, Olen is a top thirty-five national producer of quality construction aggregates. Since 1986, Olen has partnered with Kokosing to be one of their top suppliers of construction materials. Committed to excellence, Olen is focused on delivering exceptional customer service while being responsible stewards of the environment and respectful neighbors in the communities we serve.

Full time Wash Truck Operator and Lube Technician. Clean various pieces of mobile heavy equipment for maintenance purposes, grease aggregate plant processing equipment, and support mobile equipment mechanics as needed.

This is a night shift position. Hours are 6:00pm to 6:00am

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain pressure washing equipment
  • Operate and maintain greasing equipment
  • Pressure wash mobile and heavy equipment
  • Perform job site housekeeping duties
  • Inspection and care of on site company vehicle
  • Communication and scheduling of work

Education And/Or Experience:

  • No experience necessary.
  • Preferred one-year related experience and/or training with pressure washing/greasing.

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years old, with clean driving record.
  • Must be comfortable driving large 24-foot flatbed truck. (no CDL required)
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to schedule your own daily, and weekly work and jobs.
  • Flexible hours, willing to work 50-60 hours a week and Saturdays during peak season.
  • Willing to work outside in hot and cold weather.
  • Basic mechanical skills are needed to do minor repairs and maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:

  • Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memo
  • Strong work ethic

  • Apply common sense understanding and initiative to carry out assigned task.
  • Follow directions
  • Handle basic hand tools.
  • Light or heavy handling
  • Job site and vehicle housekeeping
  • Required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Driver's license with clean driving record
