Job description

Overview

Group 1 Automotive, Inc. is seeking an experienced and dynamic Warranty Administrator to join our team.

This position plays a critical role in supporting dealership operations by ensuring manufacturer warranty claims are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with manufacturer and Company policies.

The Warranty Administrator is responsible for reviewing repair orders, submitting and reconciling warranty claims, resolving claim discrepancies, maintaining warranty receivables, and partnering with service and accounting teams to ensure timely reimbursement and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to prioritize multiple responsibilities while delivering exceptional accuracy in a fast-paced dealership environment.


Responsibilities

  • Review each repair order for compliance with Manufacturer Warranty Policy;
  • Process all warranty claims timely and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines;
  • Follow up on all warranty rejections timely and resolve issues to obtain payment;
  • Post all warranty payments as received and address any differences or flag corrections;
  • Maintain receivable schedule in accordance with Group 1 Automotive Policy and Procedures; and
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting a plus
  • Prior Accounting, CDK, Warranty Administration experience a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Excel
  • Must be able to demonstrate work process judgment and prioritize in a multi-task environment
