Job description

Technical Program Manager

(+ Product Designer)

Location: Beverly Hills, CA (On-Site Required)

Reports To: President

Department: Platform / Product

About Kartel

Kartel is building creative intelligence infrastructure for the AI era. We build the systems that allow Fortune 500 brands and studios to scale creative work without losing brand integrity, control, or learning. Think "Palantir for the Creative Suite”, we're not a tool, we're the operating system layer that sits between foundational AI models and enterprise creative production

Backed by venture capital and led by industry media veterans from HBO Max, Warner Media, Fox, and a pioneering generative AI team; Kartel is building something that doesn't exist yet, and we're looking for people who want to define what enterprise creative AI looks like.

The Opportunity

We're not looking for an average TPM. We're looking for a multi-tool operator who can run daily operations with precision and shape the design and experience of our platform ecosystem. You'll own the integration layer across five interconnected systems that power everything Kartel does:

What You'll Do

Program Management

  • Manage daily operations: Jira, job requests, scrums, progress reports, escalations
  • Keep teams on track across Platform, Generative, and Production departments
  • Coordinate builds and deliverables across all technical efforts
  • Respond to roadblocks and make specification changes as reality hits

Product Integration

  • Own the user journey across all platforms: Community → Generative Platform → Production Platform → Client Portal
  • Maintain simplicity in user-facing interfaces by abstracting complexity away from users
  • Ensure SSO, credit systems, and data flows work seamlessly across the ecosystem

Design Leadership

  • Lead UI/UX design direction across all four platforms
  • Create design mockups and prototypes to communicate product vision
  • Ensure visual and interaction consistency across the Kartel ecosystem

Technical Guidance

  • Provide technical choices and recommendations to engineering teams
  • Implement and orchestrate agentic workflows and AI agents within our systems
  • Familiarity with tools like Claude Code and modern AI development environments

What You Bring

Required:

  • 3+ years in technical program management, product management, or a hybrid role
  • Strong UI/UX design skills—you can create mockups, not just describe them
  • Experience coordinating multiple technical teams and platforms simultaneously
  • Ability to understand how systems connect, even without a deep engineering background
  • Experience with or strong interest in AI workflows, agents, and agentic systems
  • Based in LA and able to work on-site at our Beverly Hills office

Preferred:

  • Front-end development skills (you can prototype, not just spec)
  • Experience with Bubble, ComfyUI, or similar no-code/low-code platforms
  • Familiarity with Claude Code and AI-assisted development workflows
  • Background in creative production, entertainment, or media technology
  • Experience at a high-growth startup or in a role that required wearing multiple hats

Why Kartel

  • Define a category. Enterprise creative AI is nascent, you'll help shape how it works.
  • Work with exceptional people. Leadership from HBO Max, Warner Media, Fox, and pioneering AI generative engineering team.
  • Build infrastructure, not features. We're creating systems that compound in value over time.
  • In-person collaboration. Our Beverly Hills office is where the magic happens, cross-functional teams working at the intersection of AI, creative, and enterprise software.

Apply

Join the team building infrastructure that enables enterprise AI at creative scale. This is where technical systems meet artistic output.
