Job description

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

  • Sort and stack boxes on skids in order to load trucks and fill warehouse, also unload trucks when they deliver goods to Rudolph Foods.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Daily:

  • Sort boxes out by type and brand
  • Stack safely on skids and tape top layers
  • Stack skids in appropriate spots in warehouse and stack safely
  • Load trucks when necessary and unload others when they deliver goods here
  • Hand load boxes in trailers.
  • Keep track of all the skids and labels used for record keeping
  • Do HACCP paperwork
  • Do any clean-up necessary
  • Properly scan pallets into correct locations in E21
  • Stage, pick, and complete shipping forms and scans on E21

*And any other duties assigned by Supervisor

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TOO:

Lock Out Tag Out

  • Do not stack boxes/skids too high or unsafe
  • Chock trailers when loading/unloading
  • Be very cautious when operating the forklift
  • Follow all Food Safety regulations
  • Wear hearing protection in all areas of the plant
  • Follow all common employee safety practices
  • Follow proper procedures when changing propane on fork lift
  • Wear Seatbelt when driving forklift
  • Do not block emergency exits, fire doors or eye wash stations
  • Mandatory slip resistant steel toe shoes.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Bi-lingual is not required but is a plus

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
