Shipping and Receiving Clerk
HF CDC Warehouse, a division of Hooker Furnishings Corporation (NASDAQ: HOFT), is currently recruiting for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our Martinsville VA facility. Hooker Furnishings Corporation, now in its 101st year of business, is a designer, marketer, and importer of case goods, leather furniture, and fabric-upholstered furniture for the residential, hospitality, and contract markets.

The Position:
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented team member to support shipping and receiving operations by helping maintain workflow, shipment accuracy, and clear communication across departments.
Main duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Pull and provide system orders to support a consistent workflow for warehouse team members.
  • Maintain communication between departments to support shipping, receiving, and transfer activity.
  • Prepare bills of lading for daily shipments.
  • Perform daily checks on inbound, outbound, and transfer loads.
  • Provide direction when needed and help resolve operational issues.
  • Keep the work area neat and organized while supporting other department tasks as assigned.
  • Create standard operating procedures for new processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
