Plastic Product Formers, a subsidiary of VP Racing, is currently hiring a Shipping & Receiving Warehouse Worker at our McKenzie Facility. The ideal candidate will have shipping and receiving experience, the ability to safely operate a forklift and other equipment, acute attention to detail and a positive attitude! See further details below:


Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming shipments and compare items to work orders provided by supervisor
  • Verify PO and incoming items to ensure that the correct number have been received
  • Determine storage areas for incoming shipments and allocate appropriate space within the warehouse
  • Assist in physically moving incoming items to designated storage areas and supervise storage activities
  • Print and process picking tickets to determine order picking activities and pick orders according to the specific instructions provided
  • Operate forklifts/ pallet jacks to organize pallets, replenish inventory from Bin trailers
  • Ascertain the quality and quantity of picked items and ensure they are shipped according to customers specifications
  • Record damaged or defective items and replace them according to company policies
  • Handle returns and exchanges by ensuring that reverse distribution processes are followed properly
  • Ascertain that all incoming and outgoing shipments are properly labeled and that correlating documents are available with each shipment
  • Assemble wood and cardboard containers or pick pre-assembled containers
  • Route products to departments
  • Attach identifying information and delivery instructions on containers
  • Organize records of goods shipped
  • Process small package orders using UPS Worldship and Fed Ex Ship Manager
  • Process all documentation for hazardous materials for hazardous shipments
  • Process all request for thermal transfer labels to support multiple warehouses
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Requirements:

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Computers, Microsoft office, bartender software (a plus)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Demonstrated ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with co-workers, departments, preferably customers and vendors as well.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • With minimal supervision, demonstrate the ability to solve practical problems, interpret, resolving problems and issues using a variety of instructions or guides furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

  • Required to lift up to _50_ lbs.
  • Regularly required to stand, bend, reach and move about the facility.

Work Environment:

  • Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, oils.
