Job description

Warehouse Floater in Main Warehouse
Primary Objective of the Position:
Assist Main Warehouse Shipping Area as needed, to include, assistance with quality control checks of orders and prepare, pack, and ship customer orders as ordered and scheduled.
Schedule:
  • 8-hour shifts – ½ hour unpaid lunch break
  • Monday-Friday, 11:00 am to 7:30 pm or until all tasks, orders and cleaning are completed.
Major Areas of Accountability:
  • Shipping: Pre-pack each pallet with bubble wrap, cardboard, corner protectors and hand shrink wrap. Use automatic wrapping machines to help secure product on pallet and then use automatic banders to secure all products to the pallet. Banding material horizontal and vertical. May include lifting up to 50 pounds and team lifting as needed.
  • Safe Workplace: Maintain all equipment and materials in a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following IWT prescribed work methods.
  • Quality: Ensure outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
  • Safety, Sanitation, Security: Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and MSDS.
  • Forklift Operations: Use forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count product. Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle.
  • Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and take prompt corrective action or suggest courses of action which may be taken to achieve favorable resolutions.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the warehouse, work areas and breakrooms.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
