Position: Shipping Associate

Duties: This role is responsible for assisting the Shipping Department in completing daily shipping lists, scheduling local LTL deliveries, verifying pick tickets and generating packing slips, gathering quotes for shipments and then scheduling based off the best rate/ETA/carrier. In addition, supporting other departments (warehouse and production) with freight claims and freight tracking, picking product, loading and unloading trucks, and packing in mouldings, interior door and hardware department.

Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm

Compensation (depending on experience): $18 to $23 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two or more years of shipping experience
  • Forklift experienced an asset, but not required
  • Prior experience working with an inventory management system
  • Mathematical aptitude, able to read a tape measure and understand imperial measurements to the 1/32 on an inch
  • Physical ability to safely lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with basic shop tools (saws, nail guns, pneumatic tools, and drills)
  • Available for overtime as required to complete department requirements
  • Attention to detail and quality
