Job description

Summary Description: Operation of forklifts and hand operated industrial lifts to move items within the facility and load/unload trucks. Cooler requires stacking boxes of products and moving items inside the facility. Essential Job Functions/Duties: Stacks boxes of product, moves items inside the facility. Operates powered and hand operated industrial lift trucks to move items safely throughout the facility and load/unload trucks. Follows the written specification for packaging and labeling of products. Physically inspects all packaging for condition and proper labeling. Identifies and reports any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or plant management official. Performs other duties as assigned. Physical/Mental Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting throughout the shift. Ability to work in refrigerated, frozen, wet, or humid environments. Comfortable working around machinery, moving equipment, and poultry products. Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed. Minimum Qualifications 6+ months of experiencing in a shipping/receiving role Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
