Job Summary
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, leads a crew in performing inventory, and pack out of customer on site and cleaning of items requiring restoration at the warehouse. Acts as the main point of contact for the customer on-site when the Operations Manager is not present. Ensures all items are properly handled, packed, inventoried and cleaned to Blue Kangaroo Packoutz standards. Potentially lead a team of up to 8 people.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and participate in the inventory, packing and staging of customer items on-site.
  • Ensures that adequate supplies are available for the crew when on-site and plans for resupply as needed so that those supplies arrive with no interruption in production.
  • Oversees and is responsible for packing items into the company truck.
  • Drives the company truck or company vehicle, as necessary, to transport items or workers to the work site.
  • Ensures that customer's items are dealt with in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Ensures that the customer's property is safe guarded and that the work site is left each day in a neat, and clean manner.
  • Orients, and supervises other Blue Kangaroo Packoutz technicians and temporary labor.
  • Documents and reports any damage to customer items to the Operations Manager immediately.
  • Ensures all policies and procedures regarding inventorying and tracking items from site into vaults are followed.
  • Meets with Operations Manager to discuss staffing and supply needs at each specific job site
  • Manage the flow of merchandise to be salvaged, cleaned, refinished or donated.
  • Creates and maintains non-salvageable inventory on-site.
  • Responsible for ensuring all safety precautions as recommended by the Operations Manager, and Restoration Company are followed.
  • Reports any safety concerns or equipment requiring maintenance to Operations Manager.
  • Reports any concerns regarding safety or crew performance to the Operations Manager as soon as safe to do so.
  • Oversee and participate in cleaning and restoration of customer items when at the warehouse.
  • Utilizes checklists to ensure that the truck is properly stocked before going to a job, and that it passes pre-trip checks/inspection.
  • Assists Operations Manager in other duties as assigned.

  • Construction, restoration, or insurance industry experience would be valuable
