Job description

At National Trade Supply, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately picking orders from warehouse locations using a handheld scanner or pick list, packing items securely for shipment, and labeling packages correctly. Must verify order accuracy, maintain an organized and safe work area, and meet daily productivity and accuracy targets. Reports inventory discrepancies and damaged goods to a supervisor as needed.

Responsibilities:
Picking

  • Assist with inventory counts and restocking when needed.

Packing
  • Pack items securely using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
  • Label packages accurately with shipping and order information.
  • Inspect items for defects or damages before packing.
  • Ensure orders are complete and meet quality standards before dispatch.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe packing area.
  • Assist with loading orders onto pallets or carts for shipment.

Requirements
  • 1+ year of experience in a warehouse, fulfillment, or logistics environment preferred.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse processes and safety procedures.
  • Comfortable using warehouse management systems (WMS), handheld scanners, or related technology.
  • Ability or willingness to drive PIT's
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Reliable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods.

Physical Demands:
This position requires long periods of standing up to 8 hours. This position also requires repetitive movement of fingers, hands, and arms.
