Job Summary

The Warehouse Shipping Associate is responsible for the accurate preparation, verification, and shipment of outbound orders while maintaining inventory accuracy within the distribution center. This role ensures products are correctly picked, packed, documented, and shipped in accordance with customer purchase orders and sales orders. The incumbent is responsible for reconciling physical inventory with inventory management systems, operating material handling equipment, and supporting compliance with shipping and quality requirements.

Wage: $18.50 per hour

Job Description

Shipping & Order Fulfillment

  • Accurately pick, pack, label, and prepare products for shipment.
  • Verify product quantities, lot information, and order details against purchase orders (POs), sales orders (SOs), and shipping documentation.
  • Ensure all outbound shipments are packaged securely and in compliance with shipping requirements.
  • Prepare and complete shipping documentation, including shipping labels, packing slips, and Bills of Lading (BOLs).

Inventory Control

  • Maintain accurate inventory records by reconciling physical inventory with system records in Rootstock and other inventory management systems.
  • Investigate and report inventory discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support cycle counts and inventory audits as required.
  • Ensure inventory locations are organized and accurately maintained.

Material Handling & Safety

  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move inventory and load freight.
  • Stage and load shipments to meet transportation schedules and customer requirements.
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Quality & Compliance

  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure all required documentation is completed prior to shipment.
  • Verify shipments meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

Other Duties

  • Support warehouse and supply chain operations as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping, logistics, or distribution environment preferred.
  • Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks considered an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with ERP/inventory systems (e.g., Rootstock) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move products weighing between 5 and 25 lbs.
