Job description

Job Title: Driver/Warehouse AssociateJob Description

The Driver/Warehouse Associate is responsible for safely operating a 25-foot box truck to deliver products to customers, while also performing a variety of warehouse duties such as cleaning, prepping units, and handling shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks. This role requires strong customer service skills, the ability to install coolers at client locations, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. The position is currently a long-term temporary role with the potential to transition into a temp-to-hire opportunity depending on market conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a 25-foot box truck to deliver products and equipment to customer locations in a safe and timely manner.
  • Provide professional, courteous, and responsive customer service during deliveries and onsite interactions.
  • Install coolers and related units at client sites, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
  • Perform warehouse duties including shipping, receiving, and inventory management to support daily operations.
  • Clean, sweep, and maintain the warehouse space to ensure a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Prep units in the warehouse by cleaning, wiping down, and readying them for delivery or installation.
  • Handle and move AC units and other heavy inventory as needed, following proper lifting and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all traffic, safety, and company driving policies.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to coordinate deliveries, installations, and warehouse activities.
  • Follow all company procedures and guidelines related to equipment handling, documentation, and workplace safety.
Essential Skills
  • Previous professional driving experience, preferably with box trucks or similar commercial vehicles.
  • Warehouse experience, including shipping, receiving, and inventory handling.
  • Ability to safely lift and move up to 100 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to clean, sweep, and wipe down products and warehouse areas to maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, verified through a DMV report pulled by the candidate.
  • Ability to pass and maintain a valid DOT physical.
  • Comfort with driving and maneuvering a 25-foot box truck in various environments.
  • Reliability and punctuality to work the scheduled hours, including occasional Saturdays as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working as a box truck driver, warehouse worker, or in similar logistics roles.
  • Familiarity with packing, loading, and securing products for transport.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse safety practices and proper lifting techniques.
  • Experience installing or handling AC units, coolers, or similar equipment is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail when prepping units and maintaining inventory.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively with a team.
Why Work Here?

You join a team that values reliability, hands-on work, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. The role offers a consistent weekday schedule with occasional Saturdays, providing a predictable work-life balance. You gain experience across both driving and warehouse operations, building versatile skills that can support long-term career growth. As business conditions improve, there is potential for this long-term temporary role to transition into a temp-to-hire opportunity, offering stability and room for advancement.

Work Environment

The work environment is a typical warehouse setting with an atmosphere similar to an auto shop. The facility houses multiple AC units ranging from approximately 170 pounds to 1,300 pounds, requiring regular handling of heavy equipment. There are two to three dock bays for parking and loading the box trucks, with inventory stored in the same space for easy access. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional Saturdays as needed.
