Summary 

The Inbound Manager is responsible for ensuring that all inbound freight is received and stocked accurately within expected due dates. This role reports directly to the General Manager of the Distribution Center.  

Essential Functions 

  1. Supervise Inbound department team members. 
  2. Schedule inbound trucks to ensure a consistent flow on the dock while preventing detention charges. 
  3. Work with Purchasing and Accounts Payable to validate packing slip accuracy to ensure timely payment to our vendors. 
  4. Communicate with internal Distribution Center team members to reconcile discrepancies on material transfer orders. 
  5. Work with Parcel, LTL, and Truck load dispatchers and drivers to ensure a consistent flow of inbound freight. 
  6. Ensure that dropped trailers in the yard are secured. 
  7. Hold team accountable for accuracy on the dock and put away process. 
  8. Perform daily and weekly reporting requirements.  Ensure all stage bin locations are clean before leaving for the day.

Physical Demands 
The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

The employee will beon his/her feet for up to 10 hours per day. It will require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, etc. The employee may need to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.  

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 

This is a full-time salaried position, which will result in at least 40 hours of work per week. The workdays will be Monday through Friday with several Saturdays expected. 

Travel 

The position will require less than 10% travel. All travel will be domestic. 

Required Education and Experience 

Associates or Bachelor level degree 

10+ years of warehouse experience. 

Preferred Education and Experience 

Managing direct reports. 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications 
Must be able to demonstrate passion for safety. 

Experience with Manhattan WMS preferred. 

Experience in a growing operation. 

Experience managing 20+ people.  Multi-shift leadership a plus 

Must be able to operate various types of forklifts.  

This is a hands-on leadership role.  You will be expected to unload trucks, breakdown freight, stack freight, and put product away as necessary. 

Must be able to lift 50+ lbs consistently. 

Demonstrated experience training associates will be a key factor in who we hire for this role. 

Team player that understands that servicing our customers is why we are here.  Must be willing to do what you can to make that happen. 

Strong experience with Microsoft Office. 

Work Authorization/Security Clearance 

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
