Job description

Position Summary
We are searching for a dependable Warehouse Associate to support warehouse operations at a major Distribution Center located in Lafayette, LA. In this position, you will perform various tasks such as loading and unloading shipments, picking orders, packing orders, entering shipping information into computer and RF systems, using hand tools and small power tools, and operating material moving equipment safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments
  • Accurately pick and pack orders for outbound delivery
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse material handling equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Assist with inventory management and cycle counts
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Steel toe boots, additional PPE provided
  • Experience operating pallet jacks, hand trucks, and/or forklifts
  • Able to understand and follow plant directives in English
  • Communication skills verbal and written
  • Able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly
  • Comfortable using hand tools or willing to learn
  • Consistent work history
Schedule & Compensation
  • Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:45 PM or until job is finished
  • $17.00 per hour
