Order Builder Job Description
As an Order Builder, you will work at a distribution warehouse center selecting and building product orders for delivery. This is a full-time position with day and night shift openings (6am-finish, 4pm-finish). The schedule is 5 days per week and will include one day on the weekend. We will consider a hard worker with entry-level experience for this role. This is a great opportunity to start your career building a brand you know and love! This role is extremely physical.
As an Order Builder, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Pulling cases and racks of beverage orders based on a picked ticket and/or voice pick system to accurately build onto a pallet
Wrapping the pallet and loading it onto a manual or electric pallet jack and deliver to the loading dock to be loaded into delivery trucks
Manually lifting and moving product to restock areas for repacking, ensuring date code accuracy and proper rotation
As an integral part of our team, you will adhere to good manufacturing practices and safety standards
You will be responsible for meeting both individual and team productivity requirements-we will train to get you there!
Pay Rate $14 / hour
What you will need to help you to succeed:
You must be at least 18 years of age or older
A High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required
Prior warehouse experience and/or experience building orders are preferred
It is highly preferred that you have the ability to operate a manual/powered pallet jack or lift product. However, we will train you!
The role of an Order Builder is extremely physical. Physical abilities needed include:
Ability to repetitively lift, carry and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
Ability to repetitively push and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance while kneeling, squatting, reaching about the head, reaching at the waist, reaching below the knees and bending at the knees
Ability to repetitively push and pull manual transport equipment (for example, pallet jack or hand truck) containing product loads up to a minimum of 100 yards without assistance
Ability to repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
Ability to exert oneself physically over sustained periods of time to complete job activities
Ability to read the information in small, medium, and large print
Ability to stand a minimum of 8 hours during the workday up to 10 hours
Ability to walk a minimum of 4 hours during the workday
Frequently work in a hot/humid indoor environment
Ability to use an audio headset to listen to directions in English
Must be able to pass a basic Background Screen and Drug Test.
