Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

This role will be responsible for loading, unloading, stacking, sorting and segregating, and case picking product. This role may operate a pallet jack to accomplish some of the tasks above.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

· Following proper handling procedure for products within the facility

· Working with accuracy and attention to detail on product orders

· Maintaining and working in a safe manner, in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards

· Palletizing goods and materials to put on trucks for transportation

· Successfully completing assigned tasks through coordination and teamwork with fellow warehouse employees and leaders

· Performing other duties as needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· High school graduate or general education degree (GED) from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

· Must be capable of learning and retaining the skills needed to work in a safe, productive manner

· Must be able to work independently as well as in a team

· Must possess have a solid work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills

· Ability to work overtime and weekends occasionally as required

· Ability to multitask, prioritize and change direction mid-stream

JOB LEVEL QUALIFICATIONS

Warehouse Operator I:

  • 0-2 years of warehouse experience. Cold storage warehouse preferred but not required.
  • Stand Up Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack, Counterbalance Forklift experience preferred but not required.

Warehouse Operator II:

  • 3-4 years of warehouse experience. Cold storage warehouse preferred but not required.
  • Stand Up Forklift experience required.
  • Experience using other MHE equipment preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to work at a Warehouse Operator I level as needed for coverage.

Warehouse Operator III:

  • 5 years or more of warehouse experience. Cold storage warehouse preferred but not required.
  • Reach truck experience required.
  • Must possess the skills to cross training Warehouse Operator I and II employees as necessary to fulfill customer demands and maintain warehouse efficiencies and productivity.
  • Must be able to work at a Warehouse Operator I or II as needed for coverage.
  • Must be comfortable working at multiple height levels within a warehouse environment.
