Are you an experienced Box Truck Driver / Warehouse Operator looking for a new opportunity? We're looking for a dedicated and experienced employee to join our team. If you're committed to safety, reliability and service excellence, we want to hear from you!
Meyer is a growing, family-owned and operated company where you are more than an employee number, you're family! The Shuttle Driver and Warehouse Operator loads and unloads trucks, stocks products in appropriate locations, pulls stock and stages products for shipping, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.
Schedule:
  • Stable schedule: 5-day work week ~40 hours
  • Up to $20.00 based on experience
  • Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 6:30pm (start/end times vary based on workload, coverage and business needs)
  • Saturday, 8:00am - 1:00pm, rotational (start/end times vary based on workload, coverage and business needs)

Requirements for Box Drivers:
  • Preference of minimum one (1) year of experience operating 26-28 ft. box trucks or any other commercial motor vehicle over 10,001 lbs.
  • Preference of manual/stick shift driving
  • Possession of a valid truck IN driver's license and 2 For Hire endorsement (Company willing to reimburse license endorsement cost if obtained for Meyer - receipt required)
  • Willingness to submit to drug screening and background checks, and maintain a valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
  • Clean driving record with no recent moving violations; must remain insurable under standard insurance market rates
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to perform repetitive bending and lifting
  • Previous warehouse experience and must obtain forklift and manlift certification within 3 months of hire

Box Driver duties include but are not limited to:
  • Drive manual box trucks from company building to company building as needed throughout the day
  • Unload truck and distributes products to appropriate area of warehouse for restocking
  • Uses scanners to place parts in proper bins and pulls orders
  • Stocks parts on racks in proper location
  • Fills orders from warehouse stock and distributes items to shipping or to designated route driver/customer pick-up staging area
  • Operate a forklift and manlift equipment
  • Places product on pallets and wraps it in film and band it using banding equipment
  • Assists in counting and reconciliation of physical inventory
  • Keeps warehouse and work area clean and organized at all times
  • Wear protective toed shoes and work in a safe manner at all times
  • Moves products manually and with the assistance of a forklift and manlift
  • Loads trucks and secures product
