Job description

Material Handler $17/hour Job Description: Material Handler position available at a 40,000 sf non-climate controlled manufacturing warehouse with approx. 35 employees are producing urethane parts from raw materials. The Material Handler will prepare raw materials daily for production while utilizing proper safety, storage, labeling, and handling techniques.

Position: Material Handler Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour Job Duties: Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in appropriate workstations and stocking locations. Prepare materials, tooling, and supplies as listed on production orders. Ensure timely preparation and delivery of materials and tools to workstations to prevent production delays.

Document material and supply disposition by recording units delivered and their locations. Ensure all workstations and storage areas are clean, stocked, and properly organized. Follow proper storage and handling policies, including FIFO (First In, First Out) for all materials.

Change out materials as instructed by the Supervisor. Restock and dispose of empty drums and pails in accordance with company policy. Perform weekly inventory for materials and supplies.

Operate a forklift to transport materials and/or parts to and from workstations and storage locations. Perform other duties as assigned or as needed. Requirements: Excellent attendance record.

Warehouse/Manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to follow a production schedule. Basic math skills.

Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. Capable of walking, standing, stooping, and bending for 8-10 hours/day. Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to follow proper safety guidelines and procedures. Reliable transportation.

High school diploma or equivalent.
