Job description

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading all warehouse operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of inventory, shipping, receiving, and storage activities. This role supervises a team of approx. three warehouse associates and is accountable for maintaining exceptional inventory accuracy, customer service levels, shipping quality, and operational efficiency. The Warehouse Manager works cross-functionally with Production, Brewing, Planning, and Taproom teams to prioritize material flow and support business objectives while also managing third-party warehouse relationships. Responsible for providing excellent customer service for internal and external customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Schedule labor resources to meet business demands while maximizing productivity and controlling costs.
  • Conduct performance management activities, including training, feedback, goal setting, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, teamwork, and safety.
  • Reviews and processes vacation scheduling of warehouse employees.
  • Oversees and maintains Obeer/SAP transactions and inventory accuracy, supports other departments on inventory transactions and accuracy.
  • Performs monthly physical inventory and reports results to the Controller.
  • Coordinates with Production, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to prioritize the unloading and storage of raw materials based on operational requirements.
  • Maintain organized warehouse facilities that support efficient material flow and inventory management.
  • Oversee all production purchase order statuses and past dues purchase orders.
  • Deliver exceptional internal and external customer service through accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and reduce operating costs. Monitor labor utilization, storage costs, freight expenses, and warehouse productivity metrics.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
    • Directly supervise all Warehouse employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
    • Lead, coach, and develop a team of three warehouse associates to achieve operational and safety goals.
    • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Proven work experience working in a Warehouse; management warehouse experience is a plus.
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases.
  • Leadership skills and ability manage staff.
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • BS degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration; or one to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
