Job description

Job Description:

Operate industrial trucks, tractors, cranes, manlifts, or forklifts to move materials around a warehouse, storage yard, factory, construction site, or similar location.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse items

  • Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency

  • Securing loads to the machine before transportation

  • Inspect product load for accuracy and safely navigate around the warehouse or facility

  • Perform variety of routine tasks to assist in production activities

  • Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles

  • Move controls to drive gasoline- or electric-powered trucks, cars, or tractors and transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas

  • Arrange sheet metal in warehouse

Preferred Education and Experience:

The individual will have a minimum of 6 months forklift diving experience, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.

  • Ability to regularly lift 25-50 pounds

  • Ability to stand for 95% of work days

  • Ability to pass a drug test/background check

Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee will work in a manufacturing facility and regularly be exposed to:

  • Humidity, loud noises, dirt

  • Varying and extreme temperatures

  • Sheet Metal

  • Forklift traffic
