Job Summary
The Inventory Control Manager oversees the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of inventory operations across a network of manufacturing, distribution, and warehouse facilities. This role manages the lifecycle of inventory, including spare parts, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods, ensuring that materials are accounted for, processes are standardized, and data reporting is timely and precise. Supporting more than a dozen locations, the Inventory Control Manager champions best practices in inventory control, documentation, and performance analysis to strengthen operational excellence and financial reliability. The Inventory Control Manager takes ownership of planning, steering, and ensuring successful execution of physical inventory events at multiple DCA locations, in accordance with Financial and Audit compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and enforce standardized inventory control policies and procedures across all manufacturing, distribution, and warehouse sites.
  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory data within SAP, ensuring all transactions, adjustments, and material movements are properly recorded and validated.
  • Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of system inventory to physical inventory.
  • Oversee reporting of inventory values, transactions, accuracy metrics, and key performance indicators to ensure data integrity and leadership visibility.
  • Support production and warehouse operations by maintaining effective controls for raw materials, spare parts, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, root causes, and opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Partner with operations, supply chain, finance, and site leadership to align inventory valuation, reconciliation, and compliance activities.
  • Lead training and continuous improvement initiatives that drive accountability, standardization, and process alignment across more than a dozen locations.
  • Ensure inventory processes are documented, current, aligned across sites, and effective in supporting operational and financial objectives.
  • Collaborate with IT and ERP support teams to improve SAP inventory control functionality, transaction discipline, and reporting capabilities.
  • Provide executive management with accurate and timely inventory summaries, variance analysis, and performance reporting

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and data reporting skills, including experience building inventory reports, dashboards, and analyses.
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-site inventory operations and standardizing processes across multiple locations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with operations, warehouse, finance, and supply chain teams.

  • Anticipated domestic and international travel is approximately 0- 40% depending on business needs.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.•
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in inventory control, supply chain, or operations within manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems; SAP proficiency strongly preferred.

Preferred Requirements
  • APICS CPIM, CSCP, or similar supply chain certification.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Background in high-volume manufacturing and distribution networks.
