Materials Coordinator

Job Description

The Warehouse Senior Associate plays a key role in ensuring that all aviation parts and materials are accurately received, inspected, stored, and shipped. This position focuses on maintaining inventory integrity, performing detailed inspections of incoming parts, and supporting daily warehouse operations such as picking, packing, and material movement in a fast-paced aviation environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed receiving inspection of incoming aviation parts and materials to verify general condition, proper documentation, and required shelf lives.
  • Handle all shipping and receiving activities, including preparing shipments, verifying contents, and processing related paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain warehouse inventory through regular cycle counting and reconciliation to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Move materials throughout the warehouse and hangar area using appropriate equipment, including forklifts, while following safety procedures.
  • Pick and pack parts and materials for internal orders and external shipments according to established standards and documentation requirements.
  • Use computer systems, including SAP, to enter, update, and track inventory transactions, shipping and receiving records, and inspection data.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas to support efficient material flow and easy access to parts.
  • Apply aviation knowledge to support receiving inspection duties and ensure compliance with industry standards and internal procedures.
  • Lift and move items up to 50 lbs without assistance as part of daily warehouse operations.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments, demonstrating strong people skills and supporting a positive, family-oriented work environment.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of five (5) years of aviation experience and/or related inspection experience in the aviation industry.
  • Hands-on experience with shipping, receiving, and warehousing operations.
  • Strong background in inventory control, including cycle counting and reconciliation.
  • Ability to perform detailed inspections of aviation parts and materials, including verification of documentation and shelf lives.
  • Proficiency with warehouse computer systems and data entry, including experience with SAP.
  • Forklift operation experience for safe movement of materials within the warehouse and hangar.
