Job description

Warehouse Inventory Specialist

Responsible for various tasks related to the receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory in the warehouse. Help with inventory management, ensure accurate recordkeeping, maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse, and assist with the fulfillment of customer's invoices.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Processing, packaging and shipping orders accurately
  • Organizing stocks and maintaining inventory
  • Inspecting products for defects and damages
  • Examine ingoing and outgoing shipments
  • Organize warehouse space
  • Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately
  • Check, verify and fill customer invoices
  • Drive vehicles with trailers to make deliveries across the country (when necessary)
  • Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations
  • Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures
  • Keep warehouse clean and organized daily
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proven work experience in a warehouse.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
  • Basic experience with warehouse management software and databases.
  • Understanding of the utility industry and operations preferred.
  • A valid drivers license, with a clean Motor Vehicle Report, and the ability to obtain a CDL
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity.

Working Conditions
  • Work is performed in a warehouse and office environment.
  • Requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
  • Consists of outdoor work in all types of weather environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Substantial movements of the hands, wrists, and/or fingers.
  • Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures or viewing a computer screen.
