Warehouse General Help Jobs in Indiana (NOW HIRING)

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

   The following are principal duties of the Rework Warehouse Department:

·         Perform QA visual inspections on products

·         Clean products according to guidelines (Using Windex, 409 Cleaner, Goo gone Gel, Oil Degreaser  and Alcohol)

·         Re-kit products according to guidelines

·         Test products according to guidelines, if required (Computer Accessories, Mouse, Keyboards, Headsets, laptops, Headsets etc...).

·         Maintain a clean, organized warehouse (Sweeping and dumping trash at the end of the shift / dumping recycling material at the recycling machine 6 - 10 times per day)

·         Required to move boxes from pallets to work area, waist high (under 50 lbs.)

·         Remove labels from products (Using a heat gone & Goo Gone Gel )

·         Ability to help report when materials are low

·         Ability to use a pallet jack to move pallets around

MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE:

   The following will be used to evaluate the performance of the Rework Warehouse Worker:

·         To the degree that he/she is able to maintain Segue standards of quality and productivity

·         Under general supervision, performs all assigned warehouse duties.

·         Conform to all safety rules and use all appropriate safety and personal protective equipment as required.

·         A positive manner is maintained to provide a context for good relations with other associates and supervisors.

·         Adhere to company's uniform policy.  Must be well groomed.

·         Understands work required.

·         Ability to be self-motivated.

·         Accomplish all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.

·         Maintains a low absenteeism rate (no more than 5 days per calendar year)

·         Maintains a positive and motivational attitude

Communication Skills: May include a basic ability to read, analyze and interpret general documents in the English language and some technical manuals and procedures or regulations.  May include the ability to write simple business correspondence in the English language and input into computer. 

Reasoning Skills:  Must include the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. 

Analytical Skills: Must include a basic level of ability to gather relevant facts and use them to reach sound and logical conclusions pertaining to assigned warehouse duties.

Administrative Skills: Must include a basic ability to plan and prioritize tasks.

Math Skills:  This position requires basic math skills with the ability to calculate figures and amounts. 

Computer Skills:  Should be at a basic level and include the use and knowledge of data entry procedures.

Decision Making:  Will be required with the ability to make timely, relevant choices and judgments in performing assigned warehouse duties.

Physical/Weight Requirements

A Warehouse General Worker must be able to comfortably stand, walk, sit, talk, hear and see with reasonable accommodation.  They will also be required to be able to use hands and fingers, climb ladders, stoop, kneel, crouch to crawl, reach with hands and arms, and smell with reasonable accommodation.  Without assistance, they must also be able to lift 50 lbs. or less.

Work Environment

A Warehouse General Worker will be required to work in the following work conditions: Humid, work near moving mechanical parts, work near fumes or caustic chemicals, extreme cold and heat. The noise level will be moderate.
