Job description

The material handler is responsible for the movement, storage, and tracking of materials and products within a warehouse, factory, or distribution center. Material handlers are vital to the supply chain, working to move goods from production to delivery while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Loading and Unloading: Securely loading goods onto trucks for delivery and unloading incoming shipments
  • Material Handling: Safely moving, organizing, and storing various materials and products using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Inventory Management: Cataloging, tracking, and documenting inventory levels, ensuring accurate records and processing returns.
  • Order Fulfillment: Retrieving items from shelves and packaging them for shipment as orders are placed.
