Summary: 


As our Warehouse Driver you'll be driving a box truck (under 26,000 lbs), primarily responsible for safely transporting items from the warehouse to stores, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. These items can consist of sellable products, tools, equipment, and other various materials. You will also spend time working in the warehouse, assisting with loading and unloading trucks. 


We're seeking a reliable, positive minded team player to join our growing Warehouse Team. If you don't mind working Monday through Friday, you could be a perfect fit! If extra work is needed, you will not be asked to work more than five Saturdays a year. You'll help improve our overall shipping experience by working efficiently together as a team. 


Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Acceptable Criminal Background Check
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward other team members & management
  • Assist shipping and receiving store product on delivery trucks & from external vendors
  • Read picking orders, work instructions, shipping orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed 
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping to other designated areas
  • Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate methods
  • Communicating effectively, using positive language, to internal staff & external visitors
  • Casual warehouse appearance and a friendly, approachable demeanor
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets, shelves or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department
  • Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
  • Comply with all established company policies and procedures while upholding the security and confidentiality of documents and data

Requirements

Position & Work Schedule Expectation:

  • Full-time position
  • Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 7:00am - 4:00pm, with occasional Fridays
  • One day each week travel to Indianapolis (as needed - may be more) - leave Fort Wayne at 5:00 am
  • Free in-house Forklift Training available
  • Holidays observed

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • This position is a delivery position, with some warehouse work also required.
  • An electric pallet jack is utilized to relocate palletized product from the warehouse to your truck to the store floor upon arrival.
  • Regularly needed to sit while driving, but also needed to bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry and walk often.
  • Ability to move less than 10 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally by hand, using a dolly when needed to ensure safety.
  • Must be able to perform duties without continuous supervision.
  • This position will be exposed to colder temperatures in winter months and warmer temperatures in summer months. 
  • This role also utilizes standard warehouse equipment such as hand-held scanners, box cutters, tape dispensers and shrink wrap dispensers.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience
  • Two years of prior driving to deliver experience preferred
  • Two years of warehouse experience preferred
