Job description

Are you up for the opportunity of a lifetime? If so, we are seeking a Forklift Operator I, who is responsible for prepping shipments, loading, and unloading product, and supporting general warehouse operations using warehouse equipment. 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Operate forklift, hand truck / warehouse carts, pallet jack, and/or other equipment in a professional and safe manner
  • Organize and prepare customer orders with a high degree of quality and accuracy  
  • Transfer supplies from department to department to meet production or shipping demand
  • Properly store and label all materials and finished product
  • May prepare billing processes and paperwork for warehouse and drop ship orders
  • May be required to record transactions via computer in ERP system
  • Perform cycle counting as required
  • Notify leadership of non-compliant ware
  • Responsible for keeping the warehouse clean and organized to cGMP standards
  • Comply with all ISO standards
  • Support company and branch metrics
  • Fulfill the employee portion of the Berlin Values
  • Other tasks as required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: 

  • High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
  • Prior warehouse and forklift operator experience strongly preferred.
  • Required to take and pass the Company Forklift Certification program, which ensures you will be able to operate a forklift in accordance with Berlin Packaging's safety guidelines. Failure to pass the exam results in the Company ending your employment. 
  • Ability to complete tasks and solve problems with high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and ability to learn.
  • Has a positive attitude and contributes to a positive team culture.
  • Self-motivated; reliable, with strong initiative and results orientation.
  • Model safe work practices.
