Warehouse Associate

Tellworks Logistics, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia with locations throughout the United States, is a leading provider of supply chain services. Our company offers warehouse and logistics services for companies who depend on service excellence and require a personalized, rather than one-size-fits-all, approach to their materials management requirements.

We are looking for warehouse associates with forklift experience with high attention to detail to move packages and materials around our facilities. You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. Your job could involve driving around warehouses, storage spaces, and other facilities. You must be a responsible individual with great experience in driving industrial vehicles.

The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is NOT an exhaustive list of all expectations. The individual in this position must be capable of performing all the essential functions with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Load/Unload inbound and/or outbound freight from trailers/containers
  • Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
  • Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
  • Transport raw materials to production workstations
  • Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
  • Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
  • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
  • Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Prefer 2-4 years of experience
  • Must be able to read, decode, and decipher freight coding
  • Consistently lift, standing, bending, and rotating motions
  • Operate hand truck and forklift
  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Basic Mathematics Skills
  • Must be able to pass any federal/state/local government and company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to move about the warehouse to access products, and machinery and assist others
  • Must be able to move and place cartons on pallets weighing up to 60 pounds
  • Must be able to bend downward using legs at the knee
  • Must be able to detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, and assess product
  • Must be able to communicate, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself, and exchange accurate information
