Job description

Job Title: Warehouse Reach Truck Operator

Job Description

This position supports daily warehouse and distribution operations by safely operating a Crown reach truck, handling materials in high racking, and using warehouse systems to pull, track, and move inventory. You will work in a fast-paced environment, contribute to shipping, receiving, and inventory control, and participate in cross-training across multiple warehouse functions.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a Crown reach truck daily to move, stage, and retrieve materials from high racking locations.
  • Use RF scanners and warehouse computer systems to pull, track, and process orders accurately.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including loading, unloading, and verifying materials.
  • Support inventory control through tasks such as cycle counting and maintaining accurate stock levels.
  • Transport materials safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse while following established procedures.
  • Accurately follow work orders, pick lists, and written instructions to complete order fulfillment tasks.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections on reach trucks and related warehouse equipment, and promptly report mechanical issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety guidelines and best practices.
  • Handle materials using FIFO (first in, first out) methods to ensure proper inventory rotation.
  • Cross-train and support other warehouse functions such as picking, packing, and material handling as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Recent, hands-on experience operating a Crown reach truck, with the ability to be tested onsite.
  • Proven experience operating stand-up reach trucks and/or stock pickers in a warehouse environment.
  • Comfort working at heights and lifting or pulling materials from high racking locations.
  • Proficiency using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) for order pulling and receiving.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills to navigate warehouse systems and complete documentation.
  • Ability to work independently, stay productive with minimal supervision, and follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety in all material handling activities.

  • Experience as a picker/packer in a distribution or warehouse setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $18.25/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
