Responsibilities for Material Handler

  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Locate and move raw materials from the warehouse to processing area
  • Supply processing areas throughout manufacturing facility with packaging items such as cones, boxes, separators etc.
  • Properly strap and shrink wrap finished goods on pallet for transport to warehouse/shipping
  • Weigh finished goods
  • Charge electric forklifts when not in use
  • Clean and maintain forklift as needed
  • Collect and dispose of cardboard, used pallets, scrap yarns, and waste receptacles located in the warehouse and manufacturing facility
  • Always maintain a neat and organized warehouse for raw material storage
  • Unload raw materials upon arrival. Locate material in designated warehouse area by supplier and yarn type as well as load and record finished goods on ST truck for transport and empty chemical containers
  • Correctly scan in inventory as needed
  • Correctlyidentify, understand andfollowvisualaidsthatareinyourassignedworkarea
  • Followsafetyprocedures and use PPE(Personal Protective Equipment)when and where required, notifyingLead Personneland/or Direct Supervisorof anyunsafeconditions


    Qualifications for Machine Operator

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Previous Material Handler experience in a manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experience - preferred
    • Must be detail-oriented
    • Understanding of inventory and plant processes
    • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
    • Ability to work in a team
    • Ability to lift 25-30lbs
    • Ability to stand up to 12 hours per shift
    • Willingness to work in shifts (late or early hours, weekends, and overtime if necessary)
