Job description

Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator – Full Time – Troy, MI

Are you dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment? Oakwood Veneer Company is hiring a full-time Warehouse Associate for our Troy, Michigan facility.

This is a steady day-shift position offering consistent hours, strong benefits, paid training, and long-term career opportunities. Our location is conveniently situated near I-75, Stephenson Highway, and 15 Mile Road.

In this role, you will be responsible for pulling and packing customer orders, loading and unloading materials, operating a forklift, and assisting with inventory management including entering inventory into computer systems. Employees typically process up to 30 customer orders per day. Training is provided on our products, warehouse procedures, and equipment. Experience in woodworking, lumber, manufacturing, or warehouse operations is helpful but not required.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety are essential. The position requires the ability to safely lift boxes weighing up to 60–70 pounds and a willingness to learn additional equipment and processes over time.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 18 months of forklift (Hi-Lo) experience, including loading and unloading semi-trailers
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work the 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday–Friday schedule
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately pick customer orders

Pay & Benefits

Health, dental, and vision insurance are available after 90 days. Employees are eligible for a $40 weekly attendance bonus immediately upon hire, 401(k) with company match after one year, and tuition assistance after 90 days. The position offers consistent daytime hours, optional overtime opportunities, and a clean, team-oriented work environment.
