Job description

SUMMARY

Helps fulfill the logistics of receiving, processing and storing facility's inventory. Perform tasks storing products, receiving incoming deliveries, scanning items before logging them on computer systems, managing stock, maintaining warehouse cleanliness and inspecting products to detect defects or damages. Assemble and package products related to orders and ensure proper shipment of goods.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, however, other duties may apply)

  • Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently using RF scanners and/or warehouse management system
  • Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of packages
  • Operate Forklift or other material handling equipment to move products within the warehouse and back lot
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy and condition of products
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role preferred
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklift and pallet jacks
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality control checks
  • Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks as required
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Forklift: 1 year (Required)
  • Warehouse: 1 year (Required)
LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, to effectively interact with colleagues, supervisors, and vendors. Ability to read and understand written instructions, as well as interpret diagrams and symbols.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to do addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as ability to calculate measurements, weights, and storage space.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply cognitive and practical reasoning skills to effectively manage inventory, process shipments, and maintain order within warehouse environment. Ability to problem-solve, organize, pay attention to detail, and adapt to changing circumstances.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to lift and carry material weighing 50-100 lbs, lift 25-30 lbs repetitively; ability to see well (naturally or with correction); ability to stand/walk for long periods, stoop, kneel/crouch, crawl, and climb up/down ladders.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Physically active, indoor environment, often with exposure to noise, varying temperatures, and potential for dust and fumes.
