Job description

Warehouse Associate

Job Type: Contract Duration: 4 months Location: Brooks, KY 40109 100% Onsite role Mid Shift: Monday through Thursday 11:00 AM to 10:30 PM overtime required on Monday's

Primary Duties:
  • GMP Services โ€“ Relabeling, repacking, inspections, Aggregated serialization of products
  • Need to be able to work in refrigerated environment (24 degrees)
  • Will rotate a couple of hours in and out of the cooler; site will provide PPE
  • Standing, working with a rolling cart, reach, push, pull test, and bend
  • Will need to use RF scanner; Will have to palletize
  • Independent tasks assigned within a group setting
  • Will Use Klever Cutters and tape guns
General Duties:

i. Cooler Prep โ€“ A large portion of our shipments require us to maintain FDA standardization for shipping refrigerated items. Cooler Prep could involve several functions for completion: a. Gel Pack retrieval and placement into shipping containers b. Placement of Bubble Bags into Shippers c. Placing Shippers onto the take-away line ii. Cardboard Disposal โ€“ Collecting and discarding of cardboard boxes. We recycle over 20 tons of corrugate every year. iii. General Warehouse Cleaning duties โ€“ We are required by the FDA to have clean and suitable facilities to store medications. We also want to keep the DC clean for safety reasons. v. Void Fill โ€“ Placement of air pillows in the remaining void areas prior to carton seal to prevent shifting during shipping. vi. Line Offload โ€“ Placing shipped cartons onto the appropriate shipping pallet for UPS Shipments. vii. Box Erector / Box Making โ€“ Ensuring our box erector is maintained with appropriate quantity of cartons to be made. viii. Order Fulfillment โ€“ In some occasions you may be asked to help fulfill orders. ix. Other Duties as needed โ€“ Things may come up from time to time, and there will be some flexibility that will allow us to complete our jobs for the day.

Distribution Center FAQ's: Basic Rules and Regulations:

a. Dress Code โ€“ What is the acceptable dress code? The dress code is simple, t-shirt, jeans, sweatpants, and comfortable shoes. Please no tank tops, cutoff shirts, cutoff shorts, or work out pants. No yoga, spandex, or other types of legging bottoms. b. Shift Schedules and Absences (Attendance) โ€“ You will agree to a shift prior to working your first day. We ask that if you are not going to be in attendance that you contact your agency prior to your absence. Excessive absences to include tardiness and not completing shifts can result in termination of assignment. c. Entering / Exiting the building โ€“ Why can't I simply come in at any door? All temporary staff must enter and exit the building through the main entrance at the beginning of the day, and again when you leave. This allows us to maintain our strict security and ensure no unauthorized persons can enter our facility. d. Signing in, and Badge Control โ€“ We require all temporary staff to sign in and out each day, no exceptions. We need to be accountable for all team members in the event of an emergency. This also ensures that we can properly account for you and the times in the event of a pay discrepancy. You will be required to keep your badge visible on your person at all times. e. Clocking in and Out โ€“ Will I have to clock in and out of work? Yes, we will provide a punch clock, and time card for all seasonal associates for you to validate your time worked with us, and so that you can get paid accordingly. You are responsible for properly punching in and out, as well as turning in your time card at the end of the work week. f. Escort policy while in the DC โ€“ Why must I always be escorted? Our company policy is for all visitors to be escorted while in the facility. Visitors are defined as anyone not a current Full Time Employee of ABC. Our DC's are highly regulated, and security and control is a large effort to maintain for the type of distribution that we do. g. Lunch & Breaks โ€“ you will be afforded breaks (paid), and a lunch (unpaid) in which you will punch out on your time card. Breaks are 15 min, and lunches are 30 min. We have a small food pantry that has lunch/dinner, snack, drinks, etc..... for sale. You can swipe your credit card for payment. We also have refrigerators and bins for those of you how wish to bring your lunch/dinner to work. h. Personal Belongings โ€“ We are not responsible for your personal things so anything of value we suggest you keep at home or locked in your car. i. Cell Phones โ€“ Personal Cell phones are not allowed on the DC floor at any time. We kindly ask that you leave your cell phone in your vehicle with your personal belongings. j. Training - Will I be trained to perform any functions I am tasked to do? Yes, we will not ask you to do anything that we have not provided training on what to do. There will be orientation and formalized training on day1. k. Covid-19- Due to the Covid-19 Global Pandemic and our commitment to ensure the overall health of everyone working in our facilities we have instituted a Health and Temperature Screening Program. Anyone entering our facilities must submit to both screenings to be allowed entry into our facilities. - i. The Health Screening can be conducted by a simple QR code if you have access to a smart phone or computer, or you can simply fill out a paper form each day. The QR code is most preferred as it allows you to simply scan the 2D barcode, answer a few brief questions and based on your response you will receive either a . Checkmark, or a Red "X".. will allow you to advance to have your temperature screened. If you receive a Red "X", please do not come to work, you will not be allowed into our facility, you should contact your agency and follow the normal call-out procedures by notifying your agency who will in turn notify us. - ii. The Temperature Screening will be conducted by a qualified and trained staff member at the DC. Your personal information will remain confidential at all times, your individual screening will be private between you and the screener. No notes will be written, as to your results, but you will be notified by the screen as a pass or fail. Passing is any temperature under 100.3, failing is any temperature over 100.4. If you have a temperature of 100.4 or higher you may be asked for a re-screen after 10 minutes. If the temperature remains above 100.4, you will not be allowed to enter the facility, you should contact your agency and follow the normal call-out procedures. Your agency will contact you with follow up instructions. - iii. Instituted an at work mask policy. Upon entering our facility, you will be required to wear a mask that covers both your nose and mouth. We highly encourage you to wear a clean cloth mask each day. If you do not have a mask, or your current mask is not clean we will provide one for you. Wearing your mask is mandatory at all times with the exceptions being when you are actively eating, drinking, or outside the facilities and maintaining proper social distances from the outside break areas. - iv. Personal Hygiene and Social Distancing are pillars to maintaining a healthy at work environment. We ask that you follow CDC guidelines for personal hygiene by washing your hands for at least 20 seconds as appropriate. We also provide hand sanitizer at key areas within our facility. We also request that you make every opportunity to maintain at least 6 feet of social distance at all times. We understand that some job functions may not allow for 6 feet, we simply ask that you complete that job function as safely and quickly as possible to minimize the contact. - v. Facility Cleaning is performed throughout the day, with scheduled deep cleanings throughout the week. We will supply you with gloves, hand sanitizer, and any cleaning supplies that you will need to clean your personal work area. Our goal is to give you the tools that you need to be healthy at work.
