Warehouse Associate

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Associate to join our team. The desired candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment.

Compensation: Starting hourly rate for this position is: $18.00 per hour An additional $2.00 shift differential will be applied while working weekend shift. Pay is based on job-related experience

Schedule: Saturday - Monday (6:00 am - 6:30 pm)

Location: This position is at the St. Michael facility full time.

Essential Functions:

  • Receives and/or loads product.
  • Loads and unloads trucks accurately, safely, and efficiently using the RF scanner and pallet jack.
  • Ensures product is within correct date criteria and product has been placed on quality pallets.
  • Guarantees pallets are placed on the trailer in the correct location sequence to declare easy delivery for the customer.
  • Assists with backhauls and inbound orders.
  • Ensures the product has been received through the warehouse management system software.
  • Completes all required paperwork accurately and neatly.
  • Fills customer orders.
  • Assures product is properly stacked and organized on the pallets.
  • Follows all GMP's and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) J&B has set forth.
  • Verifies product shipped has not expired.
  • Warehouse cleanliness. Actively support the safety performance of the department and J&B.
  • Works safely, follows all accident preventions and procedures, and encourages fellow associates to do the same.
  • Attendance: Regular, timely attendance to meet customer needs in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Other duties as assigned. Performs special projects or assignments as directed by the Warehouse management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently
  • Team player - builds and maintains positive relationships with team, other departments, as well as customers.

  • Beginner level computer skills to operate RF Scanner and complete training
  • Physical and Environmental Factors:
    • Safety Awareness - Follow all safety laws, policies, and procedures. Immediately report safety concerns to supervisor. Attend, and successfully complete, when applicable, all required safety training.
    • Quality Awareness - Comply with the requirements of the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), and Food Safety and Quality Food Programs (SQF). Includes activities such as but not limited to walking, lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, twisting and turning
    • Requires ability to lift, up to 30 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 60 lbs.
    • Requires ability to stand for the entirety of the shift (minus breaks/rest periods)
    • Subject to temperatures ranging from 30 degrees to 50 degrees constantly
    • Subject to noise levels higher than 85 decibels
    • Ability to wear all required PPE
