Job description

Registered Nurse – MICU (Night Shift)



Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse to join our critical care team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to acutely and critically ill patients. This position offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, evidence-based environment focused on improving outcomes and delivering exceptional patient experiences.



Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with established standards and best practices
  • Perform monitoring, procedures, and interventions as ordered by medical providers
  • Accurately document all patient care in the medical record in a timely and thorough manner
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and ongoing self-care
  • Advocate for patient safety and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance care and departmental performance
  • Promote effective communication and teamwork within the MICU



Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of acute care RN experience within the last 3 years (higher-acuity experience strongly preferred; strong Med-Surg candidates considered)
  • Education: Associate Degree required; BSN preferred


Licensure:

  • Active Florida RN license or Compact State RN license (compact license holders must obtain a Florida license within 60 days of relocation)
  • Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS, AHA) – required within 30 days of hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – required within 90 days of hire

  • Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 (Nights)
