Position Summary: 

The Commercial Warehouse Associate is responsible for the handling and packaging of materials and parts for shipping, receiving of incoming materials for distribution, and providing the proper documentation for shipping and receiving. He or she will stage both internal and external orders for pickup, delivery and/or installation. Additionally, this role will require one to fill orders from multiple different departments and stock items that are needed to ensure the warehouse runs efficiently and smoothly. Warehouse Associates will occasionally fill in as delivery drivers when needed. It is important for Warehouse Associates to ensure that all packing slips are present for each delivery. He or she will need to recognize the flow of incoming and outgoing materials necessary to meet productivity goals and ensure the flow of materials in the supply chain is stable. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Stages internal and external orders for pickup, delivery or installation
  • Ensures packing slip is accompanied with each delivery and obtains packing slip if unavailable
  • Fills in as delivery driver as needed
  • Fill orders from multiple departments and locations
  • Stocks items needed to keep operations running smoothly
  • Receives deliveries and stock and verify accuracy of the delivery against invoice
  • Ensure that the required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures
  • Attend all staff meetings, training, and educational classes as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned including parts delivery

Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior warehouse, parts, or logistics experience preferred (commercial vehicle or automotive environment a plus)
  • Working knowledge of inventory control, receiving, stocking, and order fulfillment processes
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.( have certifications or be willing to obtain)
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with inventory management systems or dealership DMS software
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately pick, pack, and stage orders
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move parts and materials weighing up to 50lbson a regular basis
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with parts staff, service teams, and commercial customers
  • Dependable, punctual, and committed to workplace safety and cleanliness
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (if delivery or yard movement is required)
