** ABOUT THE ROLE**

The Warehouse Associate at Cornerstone Building Brands is responsible for overseeing the daily warehouse operations. This role combines hands-on operational and workflow oversight to ensure efficiency, safety, and accuracy.

** WHAT YOU’LL DO** ****

  • Monitor daily workflow, assign tasks, and adjust priorities as needed to meet customer demands and shipping schedules.
  • Safe forklift operation, SOP compliance, and equipment use.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and safety.
  • Pull, stage, and load orders onto truck trailers using forklifts.
  • Oversee and participate in both warehouse and yard operations.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed in accordance with established SOPs, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Perform and verify completion of daily equipment checks and maintenance reporting.
  • Support accurate inventory management and documentation to reduce errors and shipping variances.

Qualifications:
Qualifications

** WHAT YOU’LL NEED** ****

  • Minimum 3 months **** of warehouse experience, including qualified forklift operation (sit-down and stand-up).
  • Yard tractor or Drexel experience a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, and documentation.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math skills required for warehouse tasks.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and fostering a team safety culture.

** PHYSICAL DEMANDS**

  • Regular lifting and handling of materials up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching (including overhead), and twisting
  • Use of hands and fingers for threading machines, pressing buttons, and handling materials
  • Occasional squatting, ladder and stair climbing
  • Operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts
  • Pushing/pulling loads (with equipment assistance), up to 275 lbs
  • Requires visual acuity, depth perception, hearing, and effective communication

** WORK ENVIRONMENT** ****

  • Manufacturing plant setting with exposure to moderate to high noise levels (hearing protection required)
  • Potential exposure to heat, cold, dust, chemicals, and damp conditions
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, and hard hats
  • Occasional work at heights over 4 feet
  • Rotating shift work and a fast-paced, production-based environment with performance expectations
