Job Summary

EMCOR Hyre Electric Co. of Indiana, Inc. is seeking a dependable and motivated Warehouse Associate/driver. This position is located in our Crown Point, IN warehouse.  The Warehouse Associate/driver will be responsible for handling materials, supplies and equipment, including tools, operating a forklift, loading, unloading and driving trucks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Drive 24ft stake bed
  • Have an excellent attitude towards safety and a firm commitment to safety protocols.
  • Process and load orders for delivery to jobsites in a timely manner.
  • Safely load/unload trucks.
  • Operate a forklift and other material handling equipment.
  • Ensure the warehouse is clean, safe and well organized.
  • Have a strong understanding of inventory control.
  • Verify accuracy of delivery documents. Complete documentation that materials received match the shipping tickets and bills of lading.
  • Have the ability to identify, document and resolve discrepancies in goods received and inventory counts.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Complete all safety and general training required for the position.
Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a Valid Driver's license. CDL preferred.
  • Familiarity with electrical construction tools and materials.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb a ladder.
  • Ability to sort and place material on racks or shelves.
  • Ability to work on feet for several hours without rest.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including extreme heat and cold.
  • Dependable, reliable with good time management skills.
  • Must demonstrate commitment to company values.
  • Maintain a positive work attitude.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with customers, employees, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations.
