Tire Factory Distribution/Point S has an immediate opening for a warehouse associate position in the Portland area.   Come join our team where employees are valued, and hard work is appreciated!
This is a full-time non-exempt position with 8 hour shifts between 8:00 am and 5:00 PM Monday – Friday with an occasional 4-hour shift on Saturday.  Starting pay is $20.00 per hour and includes a full benefit package after a waiting period.   You are eligible for a $500 new hire bonus and after 90 days you will have the opportunity to earn an additional $200 per month incentive bonus.
  
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Unload incoming deliveries: verify correct product, count, and condition, noting and reporting all discrepancies.
2. Use a forklift, scan gun, computer, and proper handling procedures to safely store or pull inventory in an organized and efficient manner. Take precautions to avoid inaccuracies or damage to product or equipment, whether storing or shipping product.
3. Pull and verify accurate and timely shipment of all third-party orders (special orders).
4. Check in and load outgoing shipments, verifying the damage-free condition of the product, and confirming that correct documentation is included with each load.
5. Adhere to all safety rules and precautions, including wearing a safety harness, using horn while operating forklift, etc.
6. Clean the warehouse for the purpose of maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
7. Communicate and work effectively with other members of the staff and team.
 
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of this position include pulling stock orders, putting away merchandise, general housekeeping within the facility, following and adhering to all safety rules, and any other duties assigned by management.
  • Maintain a positive attitude.
  • Process customer orders efficiently.
  • Correctly inspect, mark, and tag all parts for inventory.
  • Always maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Avoid damaging parts and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Manage daily bin inventory levels replenishing as needed.
  • Pick, pack and ship all ecommerce orders.
  • Operate forklift/order picker safely (training provided) maneuvering around the warehouse.
  • Any other tasks assigned by management.
Preferred Skills:
  • Accurately review records of defective or damaged merchandise for proper completion of claims.
  • Accurately and promptly process incoming and outgoing stock orders, and customer returns to sustain a consistent workflow.
  • Maintain the ability to handle job stress and effective interaction with others in the workplace.
  • Knowledge and competency in the utilization of warehouse related computer and bar-coding equipment.
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands and fingers, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls, and move about facilities.
  • Required to operate equipment.
  • Lift / carry by hand, freight weighing up to 70 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Push/pull products of excessive weight using mechanical aids, such as hand trucks, puller carts, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Meet or exceed applicable efficiencies standards and expectations.
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Experience with operating heavy machinery.
  • Will work in extreme weather conditions (Heat or Cold).

Schedule:
  • Day shift.
  • Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed.
  • In general, this position is assigned regular business hours; however, it is typical to work more than 40 hours per week.
  • Maintain regular attendance and timeliness as set forth within the work schedule designated by the distribution center supervisor/manager.
