Job description

WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE/ Forklift Operator
Location: Houston, Tx 77026
Pay Rate: $18/ hr.
Shift: Monday thru Friday; 8am - 5pm; weekends as needed
Job Functions:
? Removing products from pallets and crates.
? Stocking store shelves with merchandise with the aid of carts, pallet jacks and hand trucks.
? Some stocking of lightweight products above 7’ high with rolling/locking step ladder.
? Loading and unloading pallets from trucks and trailers with a forklift.
? Perform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling operations and sorting.
? Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Parts Manager.
? Organizes the warehouse for the purpose of ensuring availability and efficient distribution of supplies
and materials and a safe work environment.
? Conducts physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses.
? Inspects warehouse equipment for the purpose of maintaining equipment in safe operating condition.
? Break down cardboard for recycling.
? Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety
regulations.
? Perform other duties as assigned by management.
? Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents
to a manager or supervisor.
Job Requirements:
? Move product and inventory using a forklift and bin system.
? Knowledge of warehousing and storekeeping procedures including shipping and receiving.
? Knowledge of proper and orderly storage, optimum space utilization and stock inventory procedures.
? Interpersonal skills using patience and courtesy.
? Bilingual strongly preferred
Physical Demands:
? Some heavy lifting, 60 – 100 pounds with assistance – loading products on to pallets for transport
purposes.
? Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
? Abilities to stand/walk for prolonged periods understand and carry out oral and written instruction and
maintain accurate and detailed records; work independently, make common sense decisions in routine
and critical situations.
? Significant physical abilities include lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling, stooping/crouching and
reaching.
? Do to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and
temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold.
