Position Description:

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, utensils, cookware, kitchen equipment, and food preparation areas. This position plays a vital role in supporting kitchen operations by ensuring a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing equipment or manual methods.
  • Maintain a continuous supply of clean kitchen utensils and service ware for food preparation and service.
  • Properly store clean dishes, cookware, and equipment in designated areas.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen floors, walls, workstations, and food preparation areas.
  • Remove trash and recycling and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
  • Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing kitchen supplies and deliveries as needed.
  • Follow proper cleaning, sanitation, and food safety procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area and storage rooms.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance issues, and safety concerns to management.
  • Support kitchen staff with basic cleaning and organizational tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all company policies, health regulations, and workplace safety standards.
