In this role, you will provide guidance and technical support to clients deploying our security integrations. Interacting directly with the client, you'll partner closely with their personnel to guide and suggest integrations that better serve their success. Your thorough understanding of our product integrations contributes to the development of new principles and concepts - providing detailed analysis around what's working, what's not, and what could be better.

You enjoy implementation work, are proactive about resolving potential concerns, and operate well around strict best practices that enable our clients on their road to a more secure digital world. You're creative, innovative, and you love a challenge - learning how integrations might work better around new products and technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and configure SD-WAN technologies, preferably in CloudGenix and PanOS-native environments.
  • Provide Application Delivery expertise, including L7 SLB, Global SLB, and traditional link load balancing.
  • Monitor application performance, including response time metrics and application identification.
  • Perform packet capture analysis, fault isolation, and remediation.
  • Support network security operations across IPS/IDS, ZBFW, and NGFW platforms.
  • Apply in-depth IP routing protocol expertise (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) to design and troubleshoot networks.
  • Implement legacy WAN solutions (MPLS, Leased Line, Frame Relay, Satellite, Internet VPN, ECMP, DMVPN) as needed.
  • Support global-scale network design initiatives.
  • Provide after-hours and weekend on-call support as needed for maintenance activities.
  • Partner with customer security and network teams to build confidence across business units impacted by the transition to Palo Alto Networks.

Qualifications:

  • 7-9+ years of experience in SD-WAN, SASE, or network security engineering.
  • Demonstrable virtualization experience (VMware/Microsoft/Citrix/Linux KVM).
  • Desire to learn quickly and thrive on the bleeding edge of networking.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects and work calmly under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to communicate with senior leaders and technical peers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Vendor-specific SASE/SD-WAN certification (e.g., PCNSE, Cisco SD-WAN certs, or equivalent).
  • Additional certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, or JNCIE-SEC.

Requirements

  • Must be within driving distance of Fort Meade, MD or willing to relocate (Relocation Assistance Package Available).
  • Must be willing to work fully on-site.
  • Active Secret clearance required at time of application.
  • Minimum Security+ certification required (SecurityX / CASP+ acceptable).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a mission-focused environment.
  • Must be willing and able to travel as required.

What is Important to Us:

  • You are an excellent communicator in writing and speaking.
  • You have the ability to work independently but also value teamwork.
  • Your problem-solving skills are excellent.
  • You are looking for a job where performance appraisals occur regularly, and you look forward to advancing your career.
