Job description

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Our CNC Machinists are responsible for the setup and operation of our state-of-the-art CNC machinery, as well as the quality of the industry leading tools we produce. This position will be for our second shift.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
  • Manufacture production orders for several CNC grinders.
  • Edit/maintain CNC tool and cutter grinding programs.
  • Perform first piece and in-process inspection of product.
  • Assist coworkers in keeping equipment running efficiently.
  • Keep the work area neat, clean, and organized.
  • Other duties as assigned.
YOU’LL BRING:
  • Experience with Walter and Star CNC tool grinding machines.
  • Software experience with Toolstudio, Numroto, and/or Walter Helicheck a plus.
  • Knowledge of cutting tool geometries.
  • Blue print reading abilities.
  • Ability to inspect, monitor and maintain quality.
  • Competent in the use of measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow Engineering documented including but not limited to:
    • Geometry specification sheets
    • Product drawings
    • Job routers
    • Process sheets
    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability for attention to details.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Regular standing and frequent walking.
  • Occasional climbing stairs, reaching overhead, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
