Territory Account Executive

The Role

We're looking for a driven, entrepreneurial Territory Account Executive (TAE) to help us build out new markets and bring an entire industry online for the first time.

As a TAE, you'll be the face of Vori in the field pulling doors, meeting store owners, and running the full sales cycle from prospecting to close. You'll partner directly with independent grocery operators and local market leaders to show them how Vori's AI-driven platform can modernize their operations, improve margins, and future-proof their business.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-impact sales team where every deal you close directly helps a small business compete and thrive.

What You'll Do
  • Prospect and open new business: Pull doors, make cold calls, and conduct in-person meetings with grocery owners, managers, and operators in your assigned territory.

  • Run the full sales cycle: From lead generation to demo, proposal, negotiation, and close you'll own your pipeline end-to-end.

  • Build and manage territory plans: Use HubSpot CRM to track activity, forecast results, and report on KPIs.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term success.

  • Be a market expert: Understand local grocery dynamics, competition, and trends to help shape Vori's go-to-market strategy.

  • Represent the brand: Be the trusted local face of Vori, embodying our mission to empower community grocers through technology.

What You Bring
  • Experience in field sales or business development, ideally selling technology, POS systems, payments, or services to grocery or retail businesses.

  • A strong track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a full-cycle sales environment.

  • Proven ability to cold call, generate leads, and close deals with limited supervision.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous, startup environments.

  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.

  • Tech-savvy and organized, with proficiency in CRM tools like HubSpot (preferred).

  • Background in or passion for the grocery industry is a major plus (experience as a cashier, buyer, store director, IT lead, or vendor is highly valued).

  • Minimal travel required; majority of activity will be within your local territory.
