Job description

At FourKites we have the opportunity to tackle complex challenges with real-world impacts. Whether it's medical supplies from Cardinal Health or groceries for Walmart, the FourKites platform helps customers operate global supply chains that are efficient, agile and sustainable.
Industry Context: AI-driven supply chain innovations reduce logistics costs by 15%+, inventory by 35%+, and improve service efficiency by 65%+. Companies prioritize AI-enabled automation as the key enabler for customer experience, sustainability, and resilience.
Join a team of curious problem solvers that celebrates differences, leads with empathy and values inclusivity
We're looking for a sharp, curious, and execution-oriented Associate Product Manager to join the OTR & Core Visibility team - the flagship product line at FourKites, used by some of the world's largest shippers to track billions of dollars of freight every day.
This is not a traditional PM support role. You will own meaningful product outcomes from day one - working hands-on with data, engaging directly with enterprise customers, and partnering with engineering and design to ship features that move the needle on adoption, retention, and customer experience.
You'll sit at the intersection of supply chain operations and modern software product development, and you'll need both: deep empathy for how freight actually moves, and the analytical rigor to translate that into product bets worth making.
What you'll be doing
Product Ownership & Adoption (40%)
  • Track and analyze feature adoption, engagement, and retention KPIs for OTR and core visibility products
  • Identify friction points and adoption gaps through usage data, customer interviews, and feedback loops with Customer Success and Sales
  • Build and prioritize a backlog of targeted product enhancements that drive measurable improvement in customer stickiness
  • Support roadmap planning alongside senior PMs, contributing well-reasoned prioritization recommendations

Data & Insights (30%)
  • Work hands-on with product analytics platforms (Pendo, Mixpanel) and write SQL queries to independently explore feature usage and customer behavior
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports that track adoption trends across customer segments
  • Translate quantitative findings into clear product hypotheses and actionable backlog items
  • Partner with Data Science and Engineering on instrumentation improvements and event tracking

Customer Engagement (20%)
  • Participate in customer onboarding calls, QBRs, support escalations, and discovery sessions to develop a ground-level understanding of shipper workflows
  • Work with Customer Success Managers to surface systemic product gaps and recurring pain points
  • Champion the voice of the customer in internal planning and sprint reviews

Cross-Functional Execution (10%)
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Design through scoping, development, and post-launch monitoring
  • Support Product Marketing with onboarding materials, release notes, and adoption playbooks
  • Contribute to presales conversations and market requirement gathering alongside Solutions teams

Who you are:
Must-Haves
  • 3+ years developing deep expertise in a specific supply chain or logistics domain (e.g., truckload, last-mile, ocean freight)
  • Practical experience specifically in truckload transportation, freight visibility, or carrier/shipper operations
  • Experience collaborating with distributed or offshore engineering teams across time zones.
  • Comfort working hands-on with data: SQL proficiency, familiarity with analytics tools, ability to build a data-driven narrative without hand-holding
  • Strong customer engagement skills - you've run discovery calls, written user stories, and can translate qualitative feedback into crisp requirements
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) to accelerate PM workflows - synthesizing research, drafting PRDs, generating insights at speed

Preferred
  • Prior exposure to SaaS onboarding flows, feature adoption programs, or customer health scoring
  • Experience with Pendo, Amplitude, or similar product analytics tools
  • Familiarity with agile development and working directly with engineering squads
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, supply chain, economics, or a quantitative discipline

What Success Looks Like in Year 1
  • You independently own a product area within OTR visibility, with clear adoption and engagement KPIs
  • You've shipped successful customer-facing improvements end-to-end - from discovery to post-launch analysis with significant business impact.
  • Your data fluency means you're generating insights without waiting to be asked
  • Customer Success and Engineering teams consider you a reliable, high-signal partner
Compensation
The expected annual base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, skills, and business needs. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for bonus and incentive compensation as well as participation in FourKites' employee stock option program.
Benefits
FourKites provides competitive compensation with stock options, outstanding benefits and a collaborative culture for all employees around the globe. To help you be your best, we have 5 global recharge days, in addition to generous PTO and standard holidays. Throughout the year, FourKites sets aside time during the workday to learn and celebrate diversity. We're always listening for new ways to support everyone in and out of the office.
Benefits include:
  • Medical, Dental & Vision benefits starting on first day of employment
  • 401k Retirement savings with employer match
  • Bonus and incentive compensation as well as employee stock option program
  • Employer paid life insurance and short term disability insurance
  • Generous PTO, global recharge days, and volunteer days
