Position Summary...The Associate Merchant role in the Hispanic Foods category helps identify opportunities, develop strategies, and collaborates with our vendors and store operators to ensure we grow our localization efforts across the entire country. From managing modular assortment decisions, to key store of the community opportunities, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to manage a fast growing segment in Pantry.

Knowing your category: you’ll know your customers and suppliers better than anyone and are always thinking about driving the business forward. Drive assortment decisions and item strategy using customer insights, sales trends, and market data to deliver on the needs of the customer and the P&L. Collaborate cross-functionally with other merchant teams, replenishment, operations, site merchandising, and supply chain teams to execute category strategies and localization needs. Monitor business performance metrics including sales, margin, inventory, and item productivity to identify opportunities and solve challenges quickly.

  • Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing business needs and make fast, impactful decisions.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally to resolve business opportunities, supplier needs and support item setup for stores and e-commerce.
