Warehouse Production Associate / Material Handler

Location: 1500 Waltham Way, Sparks, NV 89437 (Conveniently located near Fernley with easy access from I-80)

 

Now Hiring: Warehouse Production Associate

OmniCable is seeking dependable team members to support warehouse and wire-processing operations at our Northern Nevada Distribution Center, conveniently located between Fernley and Sparks just off I-80.

In this role, you'll work with specialized wire-cutting and material-handling equipment while helping ensure customer orders are processed safely, accurately, and on time. Whether operating warehouse equipment, preparing shipments, or supporting value-added services, you'll play an important role in our daily operations.

 

Pay Structure

  • Warehouse Associate I: $21.42 - $24.49
  • Warehouse Associate II: $24.27 - $27.49
  • Warehouse Associate III: $27.50 - $30.24

 

What You'll Do

Operate Warehouse Equipment

  • Safely use forklifts, order pickers, and other powered industrial equipment
  • Move materials throughout the facility and stage products for customer orders
  • Assist with loading and unloading inbound and outbound freight

Perform Wire Processing & Production Work

  • Operate wire-cutting and re-spooling machinery
  • Complete product preparation activities based on customer specifications
  • Maintain quality standards throughout the production process

Receive and Verify Inventory

  • Inspect incoming materials for accuracy and condition
  • Confirm shipment quantities and documentation
  • Process inventory transactions using warehouse systems

Prepare Customer Shipments

  • Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment
  • Support LTL and parcel shipping operations
  • Help maintain shipping accuracy and on-time delivery performance

Maintain a Safe Work Environment

  • Follow all safety procedures and equipment inspection requirements
  • Keep work areas organized and clean
  • Support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives

What You'll Need

  • Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse and production environment
  • Ability to perform basic math and accurately follow work instructions
  • Strong attendance record and commitment to safety
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors
  • Flexibility to work overtime, extended shifts, or occasional weekends as business needs require
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical work throughout the shift
  • Work is performed in a distribution center environment and may involve varying temperatures throughout the year
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
